Howdy to all my blogging sista's! Sorry I've been MIA but my schedule has been truly hectic. I finally got some down time and I'm taking full advantage of catching up on my Sunday comics and blogging. I want to express how much I appreciate all your kind comments on my cooking blog. Y'all are the best! I'm sorry I haven't had time to reply but I'll work on that this evening.
I just received some fantastic new recipes that I can't wait to share with you and will begin to post tonight.
I look forward to stopping by y'alls blogs and reading your posts to see what y'all been up to. Before I zip on down the road to blogger land I must ask your opinion:
1.) What are your family traditions for fall? Do you watch a favorite movie, bake a special dish, play family games, etc....
2.) Do you decorate your home for fall and how?
3.) What is your favorite fall dessert?
Hmm... we don't have any family fall traditions but I love the idea. Well, maybe we do. When the weather is cooler my mom starts making gumbo, soups, etc... My favorite fall dessert is caramel brownies. Yum...
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I think as the years go by traditions change. Now that the kids are grown, dh and I don't really do anything special for fall besides get apples for eating and apple crisp or pie baking; and making chili and stew. Dh always loves having a pot of soup/stew in the frig. I try to do that more often in the cooler months.
ReplyDeleteHope you're doin' well!

Favorite fall dessert - pumpkin spice milkshake from Culver's!
ReplyDeleteOur family tradition is taking our 4 kids to Huber's Family Farm for pumpkin/apple picking. They take a hay ride to the fields then they get to run & find their favorite pumpkins. One of my kids always have to be the funny one & try to get a pumpkin bigger then he or she.
ReplyDeleteI decorate my home with anything fall I can find. Right now I have a scarecrow on my door & a fall flag blowing outside. My hubby is getting the rest of the stuff down from the garage attic tonight. I promised my girls we would decorate the rest Sun. while sipping on some warm apple cider. Yummy.
My favorite fall desert is pumpkin anything. I especially love pumpkin spiced latte for a local store here in KY. I love apple betty & carmel apples, as well.
I am new to the bloggy world, so if you go to my blog, you will need to request to be invited. I have yet made it public because I am a chicken and because I don't write on it much. Slacker, I guess. LOL.
Love your blog, and thank you.
The only traditions we have for fall are,
ReplyDelete*Taking our kids to the local pumpkin patch and picking out pumpkins
and
*Baking fall/autumn treats and desserts
We do decorate for fall...as the posts in my blog have demonstrated :)
My favorite fall dessert would have to be pumpkin pie and sweet potato pie. That's two desserts..but who's counting? :)
