Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, Y'ALL!
I told y'all that I would post a few snap shots of my fall decorations. I'm not big on Halloween outdoor decorations so I try to keep it fall friendly. Wow, we had a big turn out for trick-or-treaters tonight. We actually ran out of candy (first time). I couldn't believe how many kids there are tonight. I don't think they live in our neighborhood but parents are dropping them off here. How do you feel about trick-or-treaters who don't live in your neighborhood. Do you think your candy should be reserved for kids who only live in your neighborhood or for anyone who stops by your house?

I thought this little fall cloth sign was cute and little different.

My poor flowers. The storms really did a number on my flowers. They looked so pretty before those darn storms. I think the scarecrow helps brighten it up.

And you can't have Halloween without trick-or-treaters.

This has nothing to do with Halloween but I love my door knocker.

  1. Looks like a fun night at your house! When I was a kid, I remember trick or treating and seeing kids being dropped off on the streets by their parents who didn't live in our neighborhood. At the time, I was a tiny bit annoyed. Now I feel bad for those kids. It must be a strange feeling to have your mom or dad drop you off in another neighborhood to trick or treat b/c your own neighborhood isn't good enough. It kinda breaks my heart for those kids.

Happy Halloween! Hope y'all enjoyed the pizza. Have you tried Star Pizza yet? Yum... one of my HOU favorites. If you decide to go, let me know. There is a certain item you MUST order. :)

  2. YUM! I've driven by Star Pizza before but never had it yet. It's on the BIG list of places to try. Houston has some amazing restaurants that I've gained about 6 lbs. since moving here, LOL! We skipped out on the pizza & ate at Chuy's instead. I was craving Mexican.

I agree, that it's sad when kids have to come from another area to trick-or-treat. My neighbor was mad about it but I never really put much thought to it before last night. We were able give all our candy bags out and God made you special pencils and stickers to a ton of really cute kids. Besides, if we had left over candy I would've just ended up eating it, LOL!
