Rain, Rain, Go Away....

It's been raining cats and dogs today. I've been eagerly waiting for another beautiful sunny day. Last week we had a couple of good days and I started to see some green foliage begin to push itself up through the brown, ugly, hibernating brush. I got excited as I was attending to my yard and wanted desperately to drive down to the nursery to see what I could thumb through. However, as much as I'm itching for Spring fever in my hands my head brings me back to reality. Mardi Gras is about a week away and I've lived in the South long enough to know that we usually get our cold snaps during that week. We also get another right before Easter. So what is a gal to do? Well, I've purchased some big plastic containers that I've already began planting bulbs in. Now I just have to sit and wait for this cold rainy season to be over.

What are you doing to pass the time during this cold season?

  1. As for what Im doing (to kill time, waiting on spring)......reading your blog, LOL!!! Hey, at least you have rain and not snow and ice, like us....Im so over it. The snow is beautiful, BUT Im ready for spring!

  2. It's snowing here right I type this. Been snowing since 7 AM and supposed to continue till tomorrow. All the schools are closed for tomorrow and hubby has a 2 hour delay...but his boss said that it actually may change to him either going in at 12 in the afternoon or not at all.

Today, we've just hung around the house after school. It's just wayyyyy to cold (32 degrees all day) to do anything outside. I've just been catching up on laundry and blog posting/reading :)

  3. We have had some nasty weather. This week I worked in Bay City, about 1.5 hours south of Hou. The weather was gross. I love the rain but only when I'm at home.

  4. Here in Denmark it is still "snow, snow, go away" - we are all pretty tired of the cold now.
