PICNICS

When Richard and I use to live in California we would pack a picnic, jump in the car, and go. We wouldn't have a destination but would explore the back roads and countryside. When we came across beautiful scenery we would pull over and have ourselves a feast. Those are some of my favorite memories. Carefree, simple, and taking in God's creation. Well, I have no idea what happened to our old picnic basket so I'm on a mission to look for another. I'm thinking since Texas is so BIG we have a lot of exploring to do. Look at these cute baskets I came across.....

  1. Those are great! I can't even tell you the last time we jumped in the car and took off with a picnic basket full of yums. I love these but I'm thinking I'd need one for summer AND fall!

  3. My family's from So Cal but my parents retired in northern Cal. I lived in San Francisco area, Sacramento, and Fresno. I married a guy from New Orleans and moved back there (miss it like crazy). Then we relocated to Austin, Texas. We lived in Austin for about 4 years. Hubby got a job transfer to the Houston area. We live north near the Woodlands.

  4. I have a picnic backpack that my ex gave me once long ago for my birthday. I thought, what do I need that for? But in the end it became something I used alot. Its better than the basket cuz you can put it on your back and hike. But Ive also stuffed it in my suitcase on trips. When we were in Hawaii it came in handy that way for picnic lunches on the beach. We would buy stuff at the store and I had all the rest in there.

BTW thanks for stopping by my blog, Im glad you like it. And I love Cajun food its one of my favorites so Ill be sure to check out your recipes. :)
